After busy preparation all through a summer vacation, On the first day of September, “read+” shared bookstore, the biggest offline campus bookstore, opened to HNNU students and faculty.
HNNU Party Secretary Chen Nianhong and President Li Linqi took the construction of the offline campus bookstore seriously. Vice President Chen Mingsheng convened coordinated meetings among functionary departments and took care of the whole construction process from site planning to specific details perfection. During the summer vacation, the president’s office, the publicity department, the logistics administration, the finance office, the teaching affairs administration, the security office and the CYL worked together to ensure the successful opening of the bookstore.
On the September 1st, accompanied by Mr. Tao Liming, the Library Director ,and Mr. Li Xiaosong, Manager of Xinhuai Bookstore(Huainan), HNNU President Li Linqi and Vice President Chen Mingshen inspected the campus offline bookstore. Li pointed out that the offline bookstore should meet university students’ reading demands and serve well the university education and political progress. He spoke highly of the preparation and efforts made for the bookstore and offered suggestions on its further operation. Chen stressed the service role of the bookstore and urged the library to strengthen the support and management of the bookstore. Mr. Li Xiaosong, on behalf of the bookstore, expressed the determination to serve the university education and grow to be a campus landmark featuring elegant atmosphere, excellent experience and quality service.
