On November 29th, the delegation of Athlone Institute of Technology, headed by its international office director Mary Simpson, visited HNNU. Mz. Zhu Ping, Dean of HNNU International Exchange and Cooperation Center and Vice Director of CPPCC Huainan Committee, Mz. Hang Li, Director of Human Resources administration and Mr. Wang Shunchang, Dean of School of Biological Engineering, met the delegation.
Zhu first expressed sincere welcome to the guests and briefed them on HNNU’s global reach and recent development. Hang, the director of HNNU Human Resources Administration, also expressed thanks for efforts by Irish counterparts for HNNU scholars during their stay in Ireland and hoped for more cooperation on faculty training and academic exchanges. Mary Simpson introduced the current academic collaboration with Chinese universities and expected more HNNU teachers visiting the university. At the meeting both sides discussed the further cooperation and reached preliminary agreement.
Founded in 1970, Athlone Institute of Technology was one of 21 state-run universities in Ireland.
